MMI recognizes the importance for input from a range of experts to continue to support the current products as well as future product offerings and opportunities.
The board will function in an advisory roll to assist in the further development of treatment protocols, product R&D, oversight of luminary development as well as all areas pertaining to general business development for MMI.
Dr. Podichetty is the Chief Scientific Officer at Research Practice Partners Inc., a global consulting company involved in strategic product development, clinical trial management and advancement of innovative medical and surgical devices. He holds an MD in Internal Medicine and MS with focus on clinical research with a fervent interest in clinical outcomes and electronic medicine. He acts in the scientific advisory role for product development for biotechnology companies with focus on noninvasive options for fat reduction. He brings exceptional experience in clinical research and conflict of interest regulations and guidelines.
He has published over 90 peer-reviewed papers and abstracts in medical journals and presented at various national and international professional societies. He has also authored several textbook chapters and monographs. He serves as an active Fellow of North American Spine Society, member at the American Medical Writers Association and the Association of Clinical Research Professionals. He is well respected for his accomplishments and is an invited scientific peer reviewer for several high impact journals along with serving as associate editor for the Journal of Allied Health Sciences & Practice. He is also a distinguished member of the Scientific Review Committee for the Society of Internet in Medicine. He brings in-depth knowledge in drug and device development, regulatory approval process, focused on innovations and device development and serves as a key liaison with the physician community.
Dr. Haneef Alibhai graduated from McGill Medical School in Montreal, Canada. He is currently the medical director of md cosmetic & laser clinic in Abbotsford, BC, Canada and the director of md cosmetic & laser training. His main interests lie in the fields of lasers, pulsed light devices, Botox Cosmetic and Therapeutic and Cosmetic Fillers.
Dr. Alibhai is the president of the Canadian Association of Aesthetic Medicine. He is a fellow of the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery. He is a faculty member of the Pan American College of Aesthetic Medicine and the National Procedures Institute. He is a member of the Scientific Advisory Boards of emed Inc. and Suracell Inc.
Dr. Alibhai has been a keynote speaker at conferences organized by the international Union of Aesthetic Medicine, the French Society of Aesthetic Medicine, the Italian Society of Aesthetic Medicine, the Argentinean Society of Aesthetic Medicine, the Mexican Society of Aesthetic Medicine, the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine, the Dubai Dermatology Association, the Asia Pacific Society of Aesthetic Medicine and the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. He has written articles for Aesthetic Trends & Technologies, Aesthetic Buyers Guide, Healthy Aging and several other aesthetic magazines and journals. He is on the editorial board of Healthy Aging Magazine. Dr. Alibhai is the Western Canadian Physician Trainer for Botox Cosmetics and various injectable fillers. He also trains and speaks to physicians throughout the world on topics in aesthetic medicine.
Dr. Bourassahas practiced in the Pensacola, Florida area for over 20 years and is proud to be able to introduce a safe, painless, and non-invasive treatment alternative to liposuction and meso-therapy type injections for cosmetic body sculpting. Dr. Bourassa is a 1989 Summa Cum Laude graduate of Life Chiropractic University and has been one of the pioneers in the use of Meridian's LAPEXBCS LIPOLASER. His office is EMERALD COAST LIPOLASER and was one of the first 23 centers in the US to offer the LIPOLASER to patients.
He is an advisor for Meridian Medical; and contributor to LAPEXBCS LIPOLASER research and seminar/webinar series for physicians. Dr.Bourassa has authored several articles on nutrition, anti-aging and rehabilitation techniques. He is a past president of the Northwest Florida Chiropractic Society and completed certification in Pain Management through the American Academy of Pain Management.
Dr. Bourassa is the co-author of a publication (pending) involving a large study group using LLLT for body contouring and spot fat reduction. His involvement in the LapexBCS LipoLaser started in March of 2007. We welcome his knowledge and expertise and his significant contributions to the field of wellness.
